Swords

Ever since I can remember I have always thought that swords are Bad Ass. Now that I'm in my thirties, that feeling has only gotten stronger. Here are a few of the cool swords I have collected over the years!
- The Therapy Sword: That's the second sword from the right in the above image, the one with a sword belt holster around it. I got that sword at the last anime convention I went to before the pandemic hit. It's foam painted silver with a solid core and it's incredibly satisfying to hold. The reason it's called the Therapy Sword is because when I am very stressed about something, such as a TV show, I can hold it to ground myself. It was very useful the first time I watched Revolutionary Girl Utena!
- Off-Model Oblivion: On the far right of the image is a model of the Oblivion keyblade that I got from Spirit Halloween. If you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts you can probably already tell that it's not painted the actual colors of Oblivion, being silver instead of dark blue, but I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to have a big stupid plastic Keyblade to swing around. I might repaint it someday when I need a craft project.
- Energy Sword: I've never played Halo in my entire life, I just got this sword (also from Spirit Halloween) because of the Energy Sword Sunday meme. Fake fan! It's a good prop to take outfit pictures with.
- Demon Blood Sword: On the far left we have the Demon Blood Sword, perhaps my greatest ever yard sale find. It was propped up against a tree in a yard sale in my neighborhood and I immediately recognized it even though it was unpainted at the time. The woman who sold it to me seemed incredulous that anyone would want it, so my running theory is that it was her kid's craft project for school. I took it home, painted it red, and wrapped real leather around the hilt. It's currently hanging on my living room wall next to Oblivion.
